Is LTK legit, with LTK reviews and an LTK app review for creators who want to get paid
LTK is the network most fashion, home and family creators are told to apply to first. It is real and it pays. What its public pages do not tell you is how much it keeps or when you are paid. We read LTK's own creator page, terms and app listings on 12 October 2026. This is what they say.
The short answer
LTK is legit. It is rewardStyle, Inc., the company behind LIKEtoKNOW.it, it lists a network of over 7,000 retailers, and its shopper app holds 4.9 stars from about 460,000 US ratings. The catch is that LTK keeps its payout minimum and schedule behind the creator login and can end an account with or without cause. Favly Pro keeps your programs in your own name for $288 a year.

OFFICIAL rows quote LTK's own public pages (the creator page, the Terms of Service and the New User Referral Program terms), read on 12 October 2026, unless a different date is given. TESTED rows are things we checked ourselves the same day. REPORTED rows come from press coverage or creators and could not be confirmed on a public LTK page. Amounts are in USD.
| What you want to know | The answer | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Is LTK legit | Yes, a real US company | OFFICIAL. LTK is the brand of rewardStyle, Inc. The site states that rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it are now part of the LTK family of brands. |
| Shopper app rating | 4.9 from about 460,000 ratings | TESTED. "LTK: Shop Trusted Recs" on the US App Store, seller rewardStyle, Inc. |
| Creator app rating | 4.4 from about 670 ratings | TESTED. "LTK Creator: Monetize Content" on the US App Store. Lower and far fewer ratings than the shopper app, which is normal for a work tool. |
| Cost to join | Free | OFFICIAL. Creators apply at no charge. LTK earns from the retailer commission and from brand products such as campaigns and ads. |
| Who LTK accepts | By application | OFFICIAL. LTK asks for a public social profile, "a high number of engaged followers" and regular product content, and says its ideal applicant posts daily. No number for US creators. |
| Follower minimum outside the US | 5,000 | OFFICIAL, read on LTK's application page on 20 August 2026: "LTK Creators (non US/CA applicants) need a minimum of 5,000 followers." It does not apply to US or Canadian applicants. |
| Approval time | About 1 to 3 weeks | REPORTED by applicants. LTK publishes no timeline and does not always explain a rejection. |
| Retailer network | Over 7,000 retailers | OFFICIAL, from the current creator page. An older LTK page still says 5,000 brands, so the figure is growing. |
| Typical commission | Set by each retailer | OFFICIAL, from LTK's company pages: brands typically offer 10% to 25%. LTK does not publish what share it keeps before your rate is shown. |
| Payout schedule | Weekly, per 2024 press | REPORTED. LTK announced weekly commission payouts in August 2024. The current day and method sit in the creator help center, which needs an LTK login. |
| Minimum payout | Not public | TESTED. LTK's help center (help.rewardstyle.com) refuses requests without a creator login. The only public dollar figure is in the referral terms below. Quoted figures of $25 and $100 elsewhere do not agree. |
| The $100 line in the referral terms | Closed net commission over $100 | OFFICIAL. The New User Referral Program terms (effective 22 September 2021) pay referral fees "so long as there is a payment already due", defined as Closed Net Commissions exceeding $100. That governs referral fees, not every payout. |
| Inactive new accounts | Can be deleted after 120 days | OFFICIAL, in the same referral terms. A referred creator who has not posted within 120 days of acceptance can be removed. |
| If LTK ends your account | With or without cause or notice | OFFICIAL. The Terms of Service say LTK "may terminate your use of the Services with or without cause or notice in its sole discretion." |
| Trustpilot | 4 reviews, all one star | TESTED. Two are shoppers, two are brands, none are creators. Too few to judge the creator side either way. |
| Size of the network | Hundreds of thousands of creators | OFFICIAL wording on the creator page. LTK told press in 2024 its creators drive nearly $5 billion in annual sales (REPORTED). |
| Favly Pro price | $288 a year ($24 a month billed yearly) | OFFICIAL, favly.com/pricing. $49 billed monthly. Custom domain included. No fee on your affiliate commissions. One free demo storefront to try it first. |
who this review is for
LTK pays. Its public pages just do not say how much it keeps or when.
People who type "is LTK legit" are usually in one of two places. Some are about to apply and want to know whether the wait is worth it. Others are already in and want to know why a balance looks smaller than the sales report. Both questions come back to the same gap. LTK publishes who it wants and what retailers it has, and keeps the money rules inside the creator dashboard. That is not a scam. It is a reason to keep your best links somewhere you control.
How to judge it
What to check before you build your income on LTK.
Whether LTK fits what you recommend
LTK lists health, men's, luxury, travel, technology, beauty, family, home, fashion and food as categories, but the retailer network and the shopper app lean hard toward fashion, home and family. If your best picks are clothing, decor or kids' gear, that is LTK's strength. If they are software or AI tools, most of those programs are joined directly and LTK adds little.
What you can see about money before you join
Nothing precise. The public pages give retailer rate ranges and nothing on LTK's own share, the payout minimum or the payout day. Ask an LTK creator you know to show you their payment settings, or accept that you will learn the terms after approval. Read the agreement you are shown at signup closely, because it is the one that governs your money.
How much one account decision can cost you
LTK's terms let it end an account with or without cause or notice. Any network can do that, but on LTK it matters more because your links, your shop page and your brand relationships all live inside the account. Work out roughly how many weeks of commission are pending at any moment. That is your exposure.
Where your links point
Every LTK post carries an LTK link, and your shop lives on LTK's app and site. If you leave or are removed, those links stop paying you. The creators who lose least are the ones whose bio points at a domain they own, so the destination behind it can change without editing years of posts.
What the shopper app is worth to you
This is LTK's real advantage and the reason to apply. LTK says millions of shoppers use its app every month to browse creators' shops, which means some of your sales come from people who never saw your Instagram. No storefront you build yourself brings that audience. Weigh it against the opacity above.
If you want less exposure
How to keep LTK and still own your best links, in four steps.
Find your top earners in the LTK dashboard
Sort the last six months of sales by retailer and product, and list the 10 to 20 that produced most of your paid commission. Those are the links worth holding in your own name as well.
Join the programs behind them directly
Many retailers on LTK also run their own affiliate programs on networks such as Rakuten, Impact or Awin. Apply with your own details. From then on the retailer pays you directly, and one platform decision cannot reverse all of it at once.
Build a storefront on your own domain
Put those picks on a Favly storefront at favly.com/@you, grouped the way your audience shops, and point picks.yourname.com at it on Pro. Add the Favly tag to each program's sub ID field so commission reports match the exact link that earned.
Keep LTK for the shopper app and campaigns
Stay on LTK for the app audience and the brand campaigns, and link to your LTK shop from your own page where it still fits. Nothing stops you running both. The goal is that no single account holds all of your income.
If it is not a fit
If you post fashion or home and LTK accepts you, take the spot.
This page is not going to tell you to skip LTK. If your content is fashion, home or family and LTK approves you, its shopper app, its retailer relationships and its paid campaigns are things Favly does not offer and does not pretend to. Favly does not run a brand network. Favly earns its $288 a year for creators whose links already earn, whose picks span several programs including software that pays every month, who want those accounts in their own name and their own domain in the bio, and who want to see which link earned. Plenty of LTK creators run both.

FAQ
Questions creators ask about LTK before and after they apply.
Is LTK legit?
Yes. LTK is run by rewardStyle, Inc., the US company behind LIKEtoKNOW.it, it lists over 7,000 retailers, and its shopper app holds a 4.9 rating from about 460,000 ratings on the US App Store. It pays creators commission on sales from their links. What it does not do is publish its own share, payout minimum or payout day.
Is LTK a scam?
No. The complaints you find are mostly from brands about contracts and from shoppers about the app, not from creators about unpaid money. The real risks for a creator are that the money rules sit behind a login and that LTK's terms let it end an account with or without cause or notice, so do not let it hold all of your income.
Does LTK actually pay you?
Yes. LTK pays commission once the retailer confirms a sale and its return period has passed, and it announced weekly payouts in August 2024. LTK does not publish the payout minimum on any public page. The only public dollar figure is in its referral terms, which tie referral fees to closed net commissions over $100.
How many followers do you need for LTK?
LTK publishes no follower number for US or Canadian creators. It asks for a public profile, a high number of engaged followers and regular product posts, ideally daily. Applicants outside the US and Canada need at least 5,000 followers by LTK's own wording. US creators who are accepted commonly report around 1,000 or more engaged followers.
Is the LTK app good for creators?
The LTK Creator app is rated 4.4 from about 670 US App Store ratings, which is solid for a work tool. Its main job is turning a photo or video into a shoppable post with links, then tracking sales. The bigger asset is the separate shopper app, rated 4.9, where people browse creators' shops directly.
How much does LTK take from creators?
LTK does not publish its share. Retailers set the rate, which LTK says is typically 10% to 25%, and LTK earns from that commission before your figure is shown. Several sources quote splits, but none of them are on an LTK page, so treat any specific percentage you read as unconfirmed.
Can LTK close your account?
Yes. LTK's Terms of Service say it may terminate your use of the service with or without cause or notice at its sole discretion. Its referral terms also allow deleting a new account that has not posted within 120 days of acceptance. Keep your best programs in your own name so one decision cannot end all of your income.
Is LTK the same as LIKEtoKNOW.it?
Yes. LIKEtoKNOW.it was the consumer app and rewardStyle was the creator platform, and both now operate under the single LTK brand. The company is still rewardStyle, Inc. Old liketoknow.it links and rewardStyle accounts carried over to LTK, and creators log in to the same account.
Is LTK worth it?
For a fashion, home or family creator who gets accepted, usually yes, because the shopper app and brand campaigns bring sales you would not get alone. It is worth less if your best picks are software or brands you could join directly, or if LTK would hold so much of your income that one account decision would hurt.
What is the best LTK alternative?
It depends on what you want. ShopMy is the closest network, with a published 82/18 split and weekly Friday payouts. Later Creator, formerly Mavely, takes anyone with no follower minimum. For a creator whose links span several programs including software, a storefront on your own domain that reports which link earned is the better fit. Favly Pro does that for $288 a year.
Go deeper
LTK is usually weighed against two other networks. Our ShopMy review covers the network with the published 82/18 split and weekly payouts, our Mavely review covers the open network now called Later Creator, and ShopMy vs LTK compares the two screened networks side by side.
If you are still deciding whether to apply, LTK creator requirements goes deeper on the application and the follower question, and LTK commission rates covers what retailers pay and how attribution works. If you were turned down, what to do after an LTK or ShopMy rejection is the practical next step, and using ShopMy and LTK at the same time covers running both.
For a creator ready to hold their own links, an affiliate storefront for creators shows how Favly groups picks into collections, our affiliate link manager shows how commission reports are matched to each link, and a custom domain for your link in bio is the step that keeps old posts working if a network ever changes. The best apps for influencers to make money compares LTK with every other app that pays on product sales.
