Koji alternative

Koji link in bio alternative and Koji app substitute for creators, with a storefront that shows which affiliate link earned

Koji was a page of mini apps: a tip jar, paid video requests, digital downloads and, for many creators, product picks with affiliate links. Linktree bought it on December 14, 2023 and closed it seven weeks later. We checked the Koji domains today and split the answer by what you used Koji for, because a tip jar and an affiliate page need different tools.

The short answer

Koji is gone. Linktree bought it in December 2023 and shut it down on January 31, 2024, and withkoji.com no longer serves any page. If you used Koji for tips, paid messages or digital downloads, pick a creator shop. If you used it to recommend products, pick a page that takes any affiliate link, sits on your own domain and reports what each link earned. Favly Pro does that for $288 a year.

REPORTED rows come from contemporary coverage of the acquisition in TechCrunch and Tubefilter, published December 14, 2023. TESTED rows are requests we made ourselves on 30 September 2026. OFFICIAL rows quote the vendor page named in the row. STRUCTURAL rows are reasoning that follows from those facts. Prices are in USD.

the old link problem

A dead Koji link still sits in a lot of bios.

Koji closed in January 2024, but the address did not disappear from the internet on the same day. It is still printed in old Instagram bios, pinned TikTok comments, YouTube descriptions and podcast show notes, and every tap on it today lands on an error. Nothing is tracked, nothing is paid, and the follower who wanted your recommendation leaves. If you ever had a Koji page, a search of your own old posts for withkoji.com is worth ten minutes this week.

What the shutdown teaches

What to demand from a Koji alternative after two link pages were bought and closed.

01

Split the old page into its two jobs

Most Koji pages did two unrelated things. Some apps took money from fans directly: tips, paid video replies, downloads. Other blocks sent fans to someone else's store with an affiliate link. The first job needs a checkout and a payout account. The second needs a page that holds any link and tells you which one paid. No single tool is best at both, and trying to force one to do both is why so many Koji users ended up paying for features they never use.

02

Own the address, whoever owns the tool

Koji had raised close to $40 million and still closed seven weeks after it was sold. Bento followed two years later. The pattern is not that small tools die. It is that a link page is an easy thing to buy and switch off, and the person who pays for that is the creator whose URL is printed in 500 old posts. Put a domain you own in front of whatever page you use, and the next closure becomes a settings change.

03

Any merchant and any program

A lifestyle creator's picks are spread across Amazon, a handful of brand programs on networks like Impact or Awin, Shopify Collabs stores and a software referral or two. A page tied to one retailer's catalog quietly drops the rest. The replacement should take any link, from any program, without a special integration.

04

Commission per link, not taps per link

Koji showed views and taps. So does almost every link page. Taps tell you what people were curious about, not what paid you. What you want is each program's commission report matched back to the link that earned it, so you can pin the three products that make money and stop giving the top slot to the one that only gets clicks.

05

Price it against what your links earn

Favly Pro is $288 a year. At a 4% Amazon rate that is roughly $7,200 of products sold in a year, or two or three referrals on a recurring software program. If your links earn less, the Linktree free plan is the honest answer, and this page says so below.

Rebuild from what paid

How to replace a Koji page in four steps without losing more clicks.

1

List what earned, from the program side

The Koji page cannot be exported, so start from the money. Open your Amazon Associates, brand program and network reports for the last 12 months and write down every product that produced a commission. Add the picks you still recommend today. That list, sorted by earnings, is your new page.

2

Move fan payments to a shop, picks to a storefront

If you took tips or sold downloads on Koji, set those up on a creator shop with checkout. Put your product recommendations on a Favly storefront at favly.com/@you, grouped into collections such as kitchen, travel kit or software, with the Favly tag in each program's sub ID field.

3

Put your own domain in front of the storefront

On Pro, point a domain or subdomain you own, such as picks.yourname.com, at the storefront. From then on the address in your bio never has to change, whatever tool sits behind it.

4

Hunt down every old Koji link

Search your own captions, pinned comments, YouTube descriptions and show notes for withkoji.com and koji.to, busiest first. Replace each with your new address. Then import commission reports each month and move the earners to the top of the page.

If it is not a fit

If Koji was your tip jar, you need a shop, not a storefront.

This page is not going to sell you something you do not need. If the Koji apps you actually used were the tip jar, paid video requests or digital downloads, Favly does not replace them. It does not take payments from fans. A creator shop with a checkout does, and our reviews of Stan Store and Beacons cover what those cost. If you only need a few plain links with no affiliate income to track, Linktree Free costs nothing and is where Koji sent you anyway. Favly earns its $288 a year when your page is full of other people's products, spread across several programs, and you want to know which link paid.

Side by side

Where Koji creators were sent, honestly compared.

Koji users were handed a Linktree Pro trial, so for most of them the real decision was whether to stay on Linktree once it ended. This table sets Linktree against Favly Pro for a creator who recommends products. Linktree figures come from its pricing page, read in September 2026.

FAQ

Questions creators ask about Koji and what to use instead.

What happened to Koji?

Linktree bought Koji from its parent company GoMeta on December 14, 2023 and shut the product down on January 31, 2024. Koji users were offered three months of Linktree Pro. Today withkoji.com serves no page, so any Koji link still sitting in a bio or old post leads to an error.

Is Koji still available?

No. Koji closed on January 31, 2024 and has not come back. There is no app to download and no account to log in to. When we checked on 30 September 2026, the withkoji.com domain returned a hosting error rather than a page.

What is the best Koji link in bio alternative?

It depends on what your Koji page did. For tips, paid messages or digital downloads, use a creator shop with checkout, such as Stan Store, Beacons or Linktree's shop features. For product recommendations with affiliate links, use a page that shows which link earned. Favly Pro does that for $288 a year.

Is there a Koji app substitute for selling digital products?

Yes. Stan Store, Beacons and Linktree all sell digital downloads from a link page, which was Koji's most copied feature. Compare their transaction fees and plan prices before choosing, since that is where they differ most. Favly is not one of them, because it does not take payments from fans.

Koji vs Linktree, what changed after the acquisition?

Linktree kept its own product and closed Koji rather than merging the two. Koji pages were not converted into Linktree pages. Users had to rebuild by hand, with three months of Linktree Pro as the incentive. Koji's mini apps, such as paid video requests, did not carry over as they were.

Can I recover my old Koji page?

No. With the service shut down there is no export and no archive to request. Rebuild the page from your affiliate program reports, which show every product that earned in the last year, and from your own old posts, which show what you were recommending.

Do old Koji links still work?

No. A Koji link in a bio, caption or description leads to an error page, so the follower never reaches the product and no commission is tracked. Search your own posts for withkoji.com and koji.to and replace them with an address you own.

Does a Koji alternative take a cut of affiliate commission?

Not for links to other merchants. Amazon, brands and software programs pay affiliate commission straight to you, so neither Linktree nor Favly touches it. Fees apply when a platform sells your own products at checkout, which is a different thing from an affiliate link.

Will Linktree shut down other link pages it buys?

Nobody outside Linktree can say. What is on record is that it closed Koji in January 2024 and Bento on February 13, 2026, both after buying them. The practical answer is to put a domain you own in front of any link page, so a closure costs you a settings change, not your old posts.

How much does a Koji alternative cost?

From nothing to about $360 a year. Linktree has a free plan and paid tiers at $72, $144 and $360 a year. Favly Pro is $288 a year with a custom domain and commission reports matched to each link, and one free demo storefront lets you build a page before you pay.

Go deeper

If you are choosing a new link page, Linktree alternatives compares the main options on what they cost and what they track, and the best link in bio platforms ranks them for creators who earn from recommendations.

If your Koji page was mostly paid apps, our Stan Store review and our Beacons review cover the two creator shops most Koji sellers moved to, including the fees on each plan.

Koji was not the last creator tool to close. The Linkpop alternative page covers Shopify's link page, retired in July 2025, and the kit.co alternative covers the gear list site that closed in May 2026. If you also had a Bento page, the Bento link in bio alternative compares what Bento users moved to. A custom domain for your link in bio is the one step that makes the next closure harmless.
