Mavely reviews and is Mavely legit now that it runs as Later Creator

Mavely lets anyone turn a product link into commission, with no follower minimum. It now runs as Later Creator, and its reviews split between creators who were paid on time and creators whose accounts were removed. We read its help center and partner terms on 9 October 2026. This is what they say.

The short answer

Mavely is legit. It is a real US company, My Favorite Things, Inc., now trading as Later Creator, its app holds 4.9 stars from about 8,200 ratings, and it pays on the 1st and 15th once you clear $10. The risk is real too: if its compliance team removes your account, every unpaid commission is reversed. Favly Pro keeps your program accounts in your own name for $288 a year.

Typical commission Set by each brand OFFICIAL. Rates and eligible products are listed on each Brand Card. Commission is on the full tracked order, but only qualifying items earn, so a $50 cart with one $3 eligible item at 7% pays $0.21.
Platform cut Inside the rate, not on top REPORTED. You keep the full rate the Brand Card shows. Mavely earns from the brand side, and its earlier growth announcement put that take at 10% to 40% of sales, agreed before your percentage is set.
Payout schedule The 1st and the 15th OFFICIAL. Each run pays a commission cycle that closed about 30 days earlier, so January 1 to 15 is paid on February 15. Wires usually land the same day, ACH one business day later.
First payment Same calendar, no 45-day wait OFFICIAL. The help center now states the first payment follows the standard schedule, "not within a separate 45-day period after your first sale." It also needs a completed payment profile, which you can only set up after your first sale.
Minimum payout $10, or $35 by wire OFFICIAL. $10 for direct deposit or PayPal, $35 for wire. Smaller balances roll forward and do not expire. Transfer fees can pull a balance back under the line.
Claim window for a missed payment 6 months OFFICIAL. Payments held for a missing tax form or payout method are released once fixed, but a missed cycle older than 6 months is not paid.
If your account is removed Unpaid earnings are reversed OFFICIAL. "If your account is removed, all commission earnings will be reversed, and no payment will be issued." The terms add that removal can come "without warning, and without a detailed explanation" for breaking brand rules.
Entrepreneur Accounts 120-day payouts, 22 brands blocked OFFICIAL. Accounts with unusually high volume, returns or resale-like buying move to a schedule paid 120 days after each cycle and lose access to Target, Nordstrom, Nike, Lululemon, Old Navy and 17 other brands.
Returns and reversals Usually 30 to 120 days, no hard limit OFFICIAL. Brands and networks reverse orders; Later Creator says it never does on its own. A reversal after you were paid comes off a future payout.
Monthly bonus $30 at $125, scaling up OFFICIAL. Earn $125 in commission in a calendar month for a $30 bonus, $425 for $100, $2,000 for $500. Tiers do not stack, and bonuses are paid about 30 days after the month ends.
Tax forms 1099-NEC from $2,000 OFFICIAL. For 2026 payments, Later Creator issues a 1099-NEC to US creators paid at least $2,000 directly. If you are paid through PayPal, PayPal handles the form.
The Later acquisition Bought by Later in 2025 REPORTED at about $250 million in January 2025 press coverage. The rename to Later Creator followed.
Favly Pro price $288 a year ($24 a month billed yearly) OFFICIAL, favly.com/pricing. $49 billed monthly. Custom domain included. No fee on your affiliate commissions. One free demo storefront to try it first.

who this review is for

Mavely pays. The question is what happens to your money if it stops trusting your account.

Most people typing "is Mavely legit" have either just joined or just been removed. Both deserve a straight answer. Mavely publishes a clear payment calendar and sticks to it for most creators. It also reserves the right to remove an account without a detailed explanation, and its own help center says a removed account loses every commission it has not yet been paid. That second fact is what the angry reviews are about, and it is the one to plan around.

How to judge it

What to check before you build your income on Mavely.

01

Whether your money is late or just in its cycle

A sale on January 3 sits in the January 1 to 15 cycle and is paid on February 15. A sale on January 16 waits for March 1. That is six to eight weeks from click to deposit, by design. Check the payout table in the help center before you assume a payment is missing, then check that your tax form and payout method are both approved.

02

How much of your income one compliance decision can erase

This is the part the one-star reviews are about. Later Creator reviews every account before its first payout and can remove one later for breaking a brand rule, sharing a payment method, or being linked to another removed account. A removed account is not paid for anything still unpaid. If Mavely is most of your income, roughly six weeks of commission is always exposed.

03

Which brands your links actually depend on

The catalog is strongest on mass retail: Walmart, Target, Nordstrom, Old Navy and similar. Read each Brand Card for exclusions before you post, because a brand that bans coupon-site traffic or certain promotions can reverse orders and flag the account. Software and AI tools mostly run their own programs that you join directly.

04

Where your links point

MyShop gives you a free storefront at a mave.ly address. Changing that address takes a support ticket and breaks every old link. Every caption you post carries a Mavely link. If you leave or are removed, those links stop paying you, and creators who lose least are the ones whose bio pointed at a domain they own.

05

Whether you could be reclassified

Very high order volume, high return rates or buying patterns that look like resale can move you to an Entrepreneur Account. Payment then shifts to 120 days after each cycle, so one or two pay dates pass with nothing, and 22 of the biggest retail brands are switched off. Deal and glitch-sale pages are the usual trigger.

If you want less exposure

How to keep Mavely and still own your best links, in four steps.

1

Pull your top earners from Analytics

Open Analytics, filter the last six months by link and brand, and list the 10 to 20 products and brands that produced most of your paid commission. Those are the links worth holding in your own name.

2

Join the programs behind them directly

For each top brand, find its own affiliate program or the network it runs on, and apply with your own details. Approval takes days rather than minutes. From then on the brand pays you directly, and no single platform decision can reverse all of it at once.

3

Build a storefront on your own domain

Put those picks on a Favly storefront at favly.com/@you, grouped the way your audience shops, and point picks.yourname.com at it on Pro. Add the Favly tag to each program's sub ID field so commission reports match the exact link that earned.

4

Keep Mavely for the retail long tail

Leave everyday retail, Boosts and the monthly bonus on Mavely, and link to your MyShop from your own page where it still fits. Nothing stops you running both. The goal is that no single account holds all of your income.

If it is not a fit

If you are just starting out, Mavely is a sensible first network.

This page is not going to tell you to skip Mavely. If you have a small audience, share everyday retail finds and want to earn from your first post without an application, Mavely is one of the easiest places to start, it costs nothing and the monthly bonus is a real extra. Favly does not run a brand network and does not pretend to. Favly earns its $288 a year for creators whose links already earn, whose picks span several programs including software that pays every month, and who want those accounts in their own name, their own domain in the bio and a report of which link earned.

FAQ

Questions creators ask about Mavely before and after they join.

Is Mavely legit?

Yes. Mavely is run by My Favorite Things, Inc., a US company now trading as Later Creator, its app holds a 4.9 rating from about 8,200 ratings on the US App Store, and it publishes its payment calendar and minimums in a public help center. Payments go out on the 1st and 15th once you hold at least $10.

Is Mavely a scam?

No, but the scam reviews describe something real. Mavely can remove an account for breaking brand rules, sharing a payment method or being linked to a removed account, and its help center says a removed account has all unpaid commission reversed. If you follow each Brand Card's rules and use one account, that is unlikely to touch you.

Does Mavely actually pay you?

Yes, twice a month. Each payment on the 1st or 15th covers a commission cycle that closed about 30 days earlier, as long as your balance is at least $10 for PayPal or direct deposit, or $35 for a wire, and your payment profile and tax form are approved. Balances under the minimum roll forward and do not expire.

Is Mavely now Later?

Yes. Later, the social media scheduling company, bought Mavely in early 2025, and the creator app has since been renamed Later Creator. joinmavely.com now says "Mavely is now Later," and the help center moved to help-creator.later.com. Accounts, links and earnings carried over, and the payment rules did not change.

How long does it take to get paid on Mavely?

Usually six to eight weeks from the sale. Commission is grouped into two cycles a month and each cycle is paid about 30 days after it closes, so a sale on the 3rd is paid on the 15th of the next month. Your first payment follows the same calendar, not a separate 45-day clock.

What is the Mavely minimum payout?

The minimum payout is $10 for direct deposit or PayPal and $35 for a wire transfer. If your balance is below the line, it carries over to the next pay date and is paid once you cross it. Transfer and conversion fees can bring a balance back under the minimum, so check before a pay date.

Why was my Mavely account removed?

Later Creator lists the usual causes: breaking a brand's rules, a brand flagging suspicious activity, more than one account per person, a shared bank or PayPal account, impersonation, or being linked to an account that was already removed. You can reply to the removal email, but reinstatement is case by case and not guaranteed.

What is a Mavely Entrepreneur Account?

It is a classification for accounts whose sales volume, return rate or buying pattern looks unusual, often from deal or resale pages. Entrepreneur Accounts are paid 120 days after each cycle instead of about 30, and lose access to 22 brands including Target, Nordstrom, Nike and Lululemon.

Is Mavely worth it?

For a creator starting out with everyday retail picks, yes. It is free, it needs no application and the monthly bonus adds to small earnings. It is worth less if your best links are software or brands you could join directly, or if Mavely holds so much of your income that one removal would hurt.

What is the best Mavely alternative?

It depends on what you want. For a curated retail network that screens applicants, ShopMy or LTK. For Amazon picks alone, an Amazon storefront. For a creator whose links span several programs, including software that pays monthly, a storefront on your own domain that reports which link earned. Favly Pro does that for $288 a year.

Go deeper

Mavely is usually weighed against two screened networks. Our ShopMy review covers the network with the published 82/18 split and weekly payouts, and ShopMy vs LTK compares the other two side by side. Mavely commission rates goes deeper on what each category pays, and Mavely creator requirements covers signup and the compliance review.

If you are deciding where to concentrate links, which of Mavely, ShopMy and LTK pays fastest works through the clearing clock rather than the payout day. For a creator ready to hold their own links, an affiliate storefront for creators shows how Favly groups picks into collections, and our affiliate link manager shows how commission reports are matched to each link.

Networks that hold your links can change owners and names. The Later link in bio alternative covers the link page side of the same company, the Collective Voice shutdown shows what happens when a network closes, and a custom domain for your link in bio is the step that keeps old posts working.
