Milkshake app alternative for affiliate creators, with Milkshake pricing and selling fees compared

Milkshake builds a swipeable website on your phone for free, and charges a 12%, 9% or 7% fee when you sell through it. If your page is mostly affiliate picks, here is what Milkshake costs over a year and what tracks earnings per link instead.

Milkshake is a good free phone website builder, and it is still actively maintained. If your link in bio is mostly affiliate picks, though, the best Milkshake app alternative is a storefront that tells you which link earned. Milkshake counts taps and views. It does not match a program's commission report to each link. Favly Pro does that for $288 a year on your own domain.

We read Milkshake's pricing page and its selling FAQ on 2 October 2026 and checked the app listing in the US App Store, which showed an update released the day before. Nothing here is a closure story. Milkshake works. The question is whether it is the right tool for a creator whose income comes from recommending other brands' products.

How much does Milkshake Pro cost?

Milkshake Pro costs $6.99 a month billed monthly, or $59.99 a year, which works out to $5.00 a month. Below it, Lite is $2.99 a month and only removes the Milkshake branding. Above it, Pro+ is $29.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year and adds a custom domain, Google Analytics and the lowest selling fee. The free plan has no time limit.

Subscriptions run through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not through Milkshake's website, so you cancel them in your phone's settings. There is no free trial on the paid plans. Milkshake's answer is that the free plan is fully functional, which is fair: you can publish a complete site without paying.

Pro+$29.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year7%Custom domain, Google Analytics, everything in Pro

Selling fees are plus Stripe's standard processing fee, according to Milkshake's own FAQ. Prices are in USD, and Milkshake notes that actual prices can vary by country and platform.

Is Milkshake app free?

Yes. You can build, publish and share a Milkshake website without paying, and the free plan keeps unlimited links, every Card type and 30 days of analytics. The catch is on selling: the free plan takes 12% of each sale plus card processing. If you only post links and sell nothing, the free plan is genuinely enough.

Can you use affiliate links on Milkshake?

Yes. A Milkshake Card can hold any link, including Amazon Associates, a brand program on Impact or a software referral link, and the merchant pays your commission directly, so Milkshake's selling fee does not apply to it. What Milkshake measures is the tap. Its Insights show link clicks and Card views by day and month. That tells you what people were curious about. It does not tell you what they bought.

That gap matters more as a page grows. A creator with 30 picks across Amazon, two brand programs and a handful of software tools will find that the most tapped link is often not the one that pays. A $25 phone tripod gets the taps. The $200 a year editing software, mentioned once, pays a recurring 30%. If you sort your page by taps, you put the wrong product on top. Our guide to affiliate link management for creators shows how commission reports are matched back to each link.

Is Milkshake better than Linktree?

For looks and mobile editing, many creators prefer Milkshake. Its sites are swipeable Cards, like Instagram Stories, and you build them entirely on your phone. Linktree is a single scrolling list with a larger ecosystem and a desktop editor. On price for an unbranded page, Milkshake Lite at $2.99 a month is cheaper than Linktree Pro, which is $12 a month billed annually. Neither one reports commission per link. Our Linktree alternatives comparison covers the rest of the field.

Milkshake vs Linktree vs Hoo.be vs Favly for affiliate creators

Here is the comparison that matters if your page is mostly recommendations. Figures come from each vendor's own pricing page.

ToolCheapest plan without the tool's brandingFee on your own salesBuilt onCommission per link
MilkshakeLite, $2.99 a month12%, 9% or 7%Phone app onlyNo, taps and views
LinktreePro, $144 a year9% below PremiumWeb and appNo, clicks
Hoo.bePro, $59.99 a year9%, 5% or 0%Web and appNo, clicks
FavlyPro, $288 a yearNone, it does not sell for youWebYes, from your commission reports

Two honest points. First, Milkshake is the cheapest way here to drop a tool's branding, and its Pro+ plan at $99.99 a year is also the cheapest route to your own domain, against $179.99 on Hoo.be Premium and $288 on Favly Pro. Second, Favly costs more because it does a different job: it holds your picks as a shoppable storefront and, on Pro, imports each program's commission report so you see earnings per link and per click. Hoo.be's pricing changed this year and many reviews are out of date, so our Hoobe alternative page sets out what it costs now.

What is the best alternative to Milkshake?

It depends on what your Milkshake site does. If it sells your own presets, guides or paid calls, a creator shop with checkout such as Stan Store or Beacons is the like for like move, and our Stan Store review covers its fees. If it is a pretty page of a few links, stay on Milkshake. If it is a page of other brands' products, pick a storefront that reports which link earned.

When Milkshake is the right choice

Stay on Milkshake if you edit on your phone, your page is mostly about you rather than a shelf of products, and you earn little or nothing from affiliate links. At $59.99 a year for Pro it is good value, and its mailing list sync to Google Sheets or Mailchimp is a feature many link pages charge more for. If you sell $300 a month of digital files, the fee drop from 9% on Pro to 7% on Pro+ saves $72 a year, which nearly covers the $40 difference between the two yearly plans.

Plenty of Milkshake users are small Instagram creators, and that is no longer a barrier to earning. Brands increasingly use micro influencer marketing platforms to shortlist creators on engagement rather than follower count, so a tidy page of picks with real earnings behind it is worth having before the first brand asks what you sell.

When to move to a storefront that tracks earnings

Move when three things are true: your page holds more than a dozen product recommendations, those picks span more than one program, and you cannot say which link paid last month. That is the point where a page sorted by taps starts costing you money. On Instagram in particular, where links in captions do not click, the bio page carries all of it, which our guide to affiliate marketing on Instagram covers in detail.

The move takes an afternoon. Export the last 12 months of commission reports from Amazon Associates and each brand program, list every product that earned, and group them into collections on a Favly storefront at favly.com/@you. Add the Favly tag to each program's sub ID field so commission can be matched back. Then put a custom domain for your link in bio in front, so the address in your old posts never depends on one app again.

The short answer

Milkshake is a strong, cheap phone website builder with a real free plan, and for a creator who sells little and links a few things it is hard to beat. For a creator whose income is affiliate commission on other brands' products, the better Milkshake app alternative is a storefront that shows which link earned.
