Linktree Shops pricing and commission for affiliate creators, plan by plan
Linktree Shops is on every Linktree plan, including Free, and Linktree takes its fee out of each commission before you see the rate. Only Premium keeps 100%. Here is what each plan costs, how and when Shops pays, and when your own affiliate storefront earns more.

Linktree Shops costs nothing to open. It is included on every Linktree plan, Free through Premium, for creators based in the United States. Linktree earns from it by keeping a percentage of each commission, and that percentage is already taken out of the rate you see in the product catalog. Only the Premium plan, $30 a month billed annually, is listed as "Keep 100% of Earnings". Payouts start at $10, go out monthly and cost $0.25 each.
Every Linktree figure here was read on Linktree's pricing page, its Shops page and its help center on 7 October 2026. Most pages that rank for this topic are launch news from 2024 and quote early-access terms.
How much does Linktree Shops cost?
The Shop itself has no separate price. What changes by plan is how much of each commission you keep and what else comes with the page. These are the plan prices Linktree lists today.
| Linktree plan | Price billed annually | Price billed monthly | Linktree Shop | Your share of Shops commission |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Included | The catalog rate, after Linktree's fee |
| Starter | $6 a month ($72 a year) | $8 | Included | The catalog rate, after Linktree's fee |
| Pro | $12 a month ($144 a year) | $15 | Included | The catalog rate, after Linktree's fee |
| Premium | $30 a month ($360 a year) | $35 | Included | "Keep 100% of Earnings" |
Linktree's help center states the mechanism plainly: on commissioned product links in Shops, "Linktree's fee is a percentage of the commission you earn, not the total order value", and the percentage "is already factored into the commission you see in the product catalog". It does not publish the percentage itself for Free, Starter or Pro. So you always know what you will earn on a product before you add it. What you cannot see on those plans is what the retailer paid in full.
What commission does Linktree Shops pay?
The Shops page shows example rates of 12.5%, 11.5%, up to 15%, up to 8.5% and up to 5.5%, depending on the brand. The help center names Target, Sephora and Revolve among the partners and says rates are negotiated by Linktree and set in the end by each retailer. Four more details from the Shops FAQ, last updated April 20, 2026, matter when you estimate income:
- Follower count does not change the rate. "All Linkers can access the same rates."
- Cookie windows run from 7 to 30 days, and Linktree says most partners sit around 14 days.
- You earn on the whole eligible cart, not only the product that was clicked.
- Rates are not locked. Each brand can change its rate, and the catalog shows the current one.
Is Linktree Premium worth it for Shops alone?
Premium costs $216 a year more than Pro on annual billing. It pays for itself through Shops only when Linktree's fee on your commissions would have been more than $216 a year. Because the fee percentage is not published, here is the arithmetic at three assumed levels. These are illustrations, not Linktree figures.
| If Linktree's fee were | Shops commission needed for Premium to break even | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 10% of your commission | $2,160 a year | $180 |
| 20% of your commission | $1,080 a year | $90 |
| 30% of your commission | $720 a year | $60 |
The practical test is easier than the table. Find one product in the catalog while on your current plan, note the rate, and compare it with the rate the same brand publishes for its own affiliate program. The gap is roughly the fee. If your Shops income is under $50 a month, Premium is unlikely to pay for itself on Shops alone, though it also adds scheduling, link routing and data export that may justify it for other reasons.
How and when does Linktree Shops pay?
Through Stripe, monthly, once you have at least $10 in available funds. The help center gives the full sequence:
- A purchase shows as Pending Earnings straight away.
- It becomes Available Funds after the retailer's window for cancellations and returns closes. Linktree says this can take up to 60 days, sometimes longer.
- Payouts usually go out in the last week of each month and reach your bank within about 5 business days.
- Each payout carries a $0.25 Stripe fee on every plan.
- Accounts less than 40 days old are not paid yet, because of the networks' own payment cycles.
A $10 minimum is low next to most networks, which is a real point in Linktree's favor. The cost is one more small deposit landing in your account each month alongside Amazon, brand programs and sponsorships. Creators who run their channel as a business usually end up using bank reconciliation software to match those deposits to what each program says it paid, since a returned order can shrink a payout weeks after the sale.
Who can use Linktree Shops?
Creators based in the United States. Linktree's eligibility page lists Shops, Sponsored Links and its other partner earnings as US only, with no follower minimum. A Linktree that contains or links to adult content is not eligible, which Linktree attributes to its payment processor's rules. Selling your own digital products is a separate feature with its own country list and its own fees.
What Linktree Shops does not cover
Shops is a catalog that Linktree runs. Inside it, Linktree is the affiliate of record and pays you a share. That is convenient for retail brands, and it leaves three gaps for a creator whose income is mostly affiliate commission.
Programs outside the catalog. Your own Amazon Associates tag, a software program that pays 30% every month, or a brand you negotiated with directly are not Shops products. You can still add them to a Linktree as ordinary links, and Linktree's pricing FAQ says so. They just sit outside the Shop's earnings view.
Earnings per link for your own programs. Shops reports sales for catalog products. For links from programs you joined yourself, a link page counts clicks. It does not import each program's commission report, so you cannot see which of your own links paid.
An address you own. A Shop lives on your linktr.ee page. If you change tools later, every caption and description that points there has to be edited by hand.
Linktree Shops or your own affiliate storefront
The choice is between renting access to a catalog and owning the accounts. This table sets the two Linktree routes against a storefront built from programs you joined yourself.
| Linktree Shops (Free to Pro) | Linktree Shops (Premium) | Favly Pro storefront | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yearly price | $0 to $144 | $360 | $288 |
| Where products come from | Linktree's catalog | Linktree's catalog | Any program you join |
| Approval | Instant, US only | Instant, US only | Per program, in your name |
| Fee on commission | Linktree's fee, inside the rate | None listed | None |
| Who pays you | Linktree, monthly from $10 | Linktree, monthly from $10 | Each program directly |
| Software and recurring programs | As ordinary links | As ordinary links | Yes, in collections |
| Earnings matched to each link | Catalog products only | Catalog products only | Yes, from imported reports |
| Your own domain | No | No | Included |
Linktree wins on speed and on price at the low end. You can open a Shop on the Free plan this afternoon and earn from Target or Sephora without applying anywhere. A storefront of your own takes longer to set up because each program approves you separately. What you get for that is the full published rate, a direct relationship with the program, and a page that also holds the software and Amazon links a retail catalog does not carry.
Which one should you pick?
- Linktree Shops on Free or Pro if you are in the US, your picks are retail brands in the catalog, and commission is a small side income. It is the lowest-effort way to start.
- Linktree Premium if Shops already earns you well over $100 a month and you also want its scheduling and routing tools.
- Your own storefront if your recommendations span Amazon, brand programs and software, you want to be paid by each program in your own name, and you need to know which link earned. An affiliate storefront for creators on Favly Pro costs $288 a year with a custom domain, and you can build one demo storefront before choosing a plan.
If you are weighing Linktree as a whole, Linktree pricing plan by plan covers every tier, and Linktree alternatives compares the main link pages on what they cost and what they track. For Amazon-heavy pages, Linktree for Amazon affiliate links goes through the options. Another free app that holds the affiliate accounts for you is covered in our Benable app review.
