I am very excited about the potential for partnership with COE, after meeting with Joseph Clausi, and his team of Innovative and Forward-thinking Staff and Students!! This Charter school can turn a nickel into a new building (I mean they can really stretch a dollar!!!!) and the setup is going to turn out craftsman who are advanced in their field. I had always looked at hiring out of Trade Schools as a last resort, mainly for Safety concerns, as I have the strictest hiring standards, that prevent injuries, one of them being a minimum of one-year onsite experience. I always said relevant experience was applicable, however in my mind the classroom environment just did not apply to relevant experience. Go see the school!! These students Are onsite, they are building real structures (oh they design, which they have to get by the design committee made up of real Construction World would be Peers, and build). I am hoping to have work for these welders when they are ready!

late post: Parents' Day Parents' Day is held on the fourth Sunday of July for "recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children." If you have been tuned in, you already know I talk as much about my family as my business, as I try to apply many of the same principles in my business practices that came from being a part of the incredible family I have I want to honor my mother, the true "ride and die," when they talk about loyalty, when they talk about "bad a**," I immeditaley think of this faithful, unconditioanlly loving, Chrisitian Mother as the toughest of the tough, showing up everyday, loving unconditional, facing seemingly insurmountable and tragic situations with grace. She is my hero, my light to the woman and professional that I would hope to be. I then think of how I am the luckiest woman in the world to be the parent of these two (well one is mine the other I hope to call son some day) hard working kids. #FamilyFirst

Most successful people will tell you they asked someone to "mentor," them at some point, they might not have actually asked, they might have just started setting up coffee meets and weekly phone chats naturally. Are we still doing this in Construction? We used to "Bring Up," Laborers who showed any reliability and desire to learn, encouraging them to put aside a little money towards getting tooled up to make more money and taking time to show what you had learned of how to do something, correctly, yet more efficiently, than the way they may have been originally shown. Are we still willing to seek guidance of a Mentor a couple of steps ahead of us? I am proud that at Tradesmen International we offer free OSHA Certification giving our employees a raise when they complete it. I have ran the numbers, the Employees who accept the free Certification and invest in themselves are the ones who become our Best Workers, as they start to have some "skin," in the game #MentorUp

Thank you Tenpenny Construction for the Favly introduction to Teamotion where I met Crystal and received samples of some of their products. The few times I had tried tea previously I used a lot of sugar and cream to make it taste good so when I tried Teamotions Peace Tea (and for some reason forgot to put anything in it to flavor it) it was eye opening how good tea could taste.
